Future Poet

Max has never really been a cuddler. Even as a baby he would squirm and wiggle his way out of my arms and onto his bed, or the floor, or wherever it was that he wanted to be. Cole, on the other hand, has always loved cuddling. Even now at 4 years old he requests a "mommy cuddle" fairly regularly. I love it.

Anyway, when I kiss either Cole or Max on the cheek, the response I get is in keeping with each of their personalities; Cole smiles and kisses me back, and Max quickly wipes off his face with the back of his hand.

So the other day, I leaned over and kissed Max on the cheek. He promptly wiped it off, and so I said in a silly voice, "Don't wipe my kisses off your face!" He giggled.

Cole giggled too and then said, "Kiss me, Mommy!"

"Oh, good," I said smiling. "At least one of my sons wants a mommy kiss!" And I kissed him on the cheek, at which point he giggled again and then promptly wiped off his face too.

"Cole! You're not suppose to wipe my kisses off your face."

To which he replied, "I was wiping it into my heart, Mommy."

Nice save, son. Nice save.

Logan always tells me that he is "rubbing it in."
