...when it's been over 100 degrees outside for a month and there is no end in sight?
You let them treat their bed like a trampoline.
Until one of them starts bleeding, of course. Then you make them stop and figure you'd better act like a responsible parent and go back to the age-old rule of not jumping on the bed.
But man-oh-man, is it ever hot. I'm going to need to be a bit more creative on what to do for these energetic youngsters to get their wiggles out, or we will all go crazy before summer is over.
I'd love to hear what you are doing to beat the heat and fight stir-crazies in your house!

So cute! I read somewhere that a mom let her kids have a 'Bend the Rules Day' or something like that. Ice cream for dinner, jumping on beds, etc. Sounds like a cute idea, but not sure my OCD self could let go enough to try it .... one of these days. =)
We're eating lots of popsicles and meeting friends at local malls/play areas. Wish I had more creative ideas for you!
Oh, bend the rules day sounds fun! (Maybe. Depends on what rules we are bending!) Might be a little much for me too, but I bet the kids would love it!
way to go Nat...you are a crazy animal:) We spend alot of time at the library and reading, swimming (of course) making cookies and listening to music and dancing around the house. OH how did I forget?..we also watch baseball:)
I know, Becky, a walk on the wild side, right?? :-) And ah yes...baseball. We get a healthy does of that around here, too!
